Project Overview
Wider World supports children to develop character strengths and life skills through their three pillars of support:
- Delivering stimulating skills development enrichment experiences
- ‘life and learning skills’ classroom-based programmes
- Parent support
With Isla’s funding, Wider World will launch their Skill Builder Enrichment programme. This is a 12-day activity programme including 19 engaging and enriching activities for twelve children. These include climbing, GPS woodland challenge, urban team building challenges, roller skating, hill and coastal hikes, museum and workplace visits, forest schools, tech academy coding, a farm visit and food workshops. The activities help children develop self-confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, goal-setting and curiosity skills.
