Project Overview
Wellspace Hackney are a small voluntary grassroots organisation who run a creative community hub & garden in Hackney, providing activities that promote positivity, creativity and unity. They have been fortunate to acquire a highstreet hub and since restoring the space, have created a welcoming and positive environment for the community to gather and engage in positive and creative activities. They believe that creativity and community collaboration are essential to build positive, supportive and cohesive communities.
They are looking forward to safely reopening for activities such as art exhibitions by local artists, well being and creative workshops, youth projects and pop up community cafes.
The Isla grant will help Wellspace purchase equipment and materials for the space in order to: support families and individuals facing food poverty, provide creative resources to the community, expand the possible functions of the space and to improve the hand washing facilities.
