Project Overview
As a critical part of London's food aid infrastructure, The Felix Project continues to provide nutritious and high quality food to communities free of charge. They refer to a ‘hunger emergency’ now being faced amidst the cost of living crisis. In 2023 they delivered 9,945 tonnes of surplus food and distributed 21 million meals to community organisations and primary schools across London. Their kitchen has increased its production and is now delivering over 4,500 ready to eat meals per day. Their new Empty Plate Emergency Appeal will ramp up support to feed Londonors, and with the help of the Isla grant they will be closer to achieving their aim of filling 1.2 million empty plates this winter.
