Humber Job Hub manages community projects MyJobCoach and Community Job Club that aim to support residents within the Hull and East Yorkshire area into new employment or training.

Angela, Joanna, Debra, Sarah and Deborah make up the team of experienced recruiters, coaches, trainers and employers. They have worked with employers across all industries and with companies of all sizes, so they have netted themselves plenty of knowhow when it comes to understanding what employers want from their new recruits as well as how to support people from all walks of life in gaining the skills, tools and confidence they need to bag the career they want.

They share and deliver a wealth of knowledge and free support to aid the unemployed, those facing redundancy or suffering financial hardship within their community into new employment. With the help of Isla’s grant, they will deliver workshops on CV writing, job boards, job searches, completing applications, interview techniques, the use of career-based social media, confidence building, improving self-esteem and personal development along with benefits of volunteering in their community, self-employment opportunities and building and developing team skills.

During the pilot, they will have 15 young people in each workshop between the ages of 19 and 25 who have been identified through their open referral process.
