Project Overview
Hackney Foodbank are working for a hunger-free Hackney. Demand for their services has increased by over 50% in just a year. The charity provides emergency food parcels for hundreds of people each week and connects them with organisations which help address the root causes of poverty. Soaring demand, coupled with a fall in food donations, are impacting the food bank hard. This grant will enable them to purchase food for visitors and help their new mobile food bank reach some of the borough’s most deprived neighbourhoods.
