Project Overview
GROW is a charity delivering bespoke sustainable food growing and outdoor learning programmes to support well-being in schools and their communities.
Their 6 acre agro-ecological farm and outdoor learning hub in North London at the Totteridge Academy (TTA) is at the heart of every one of their activities and programmes, providing a practical and inspiring resource for everyone who visits.
GROW’s overall mission is to create an example of how a school can use its power in the community and global systems to demonstrate best practices in sustainability and well-being.
Funding from The Isla Foundation is supporting their GROW teacher training programme in 2022, offering something tangible and sustainable to individuals from across the UK to take back to their schools and embed GROW skills, philosophy, and resources into their curriculum, environment, and staff.
With additional funding from the Isla Foundation, GROW is hiring a part-time Education & Outreach role to coordinate outreach work and develop sustainable food growing and outdoor learning programmes for more partners and schools.
