Project Overview
DJ Methodz provides expert DJ tuition for people in Hull and the surrounding areas, offering private lessons, workshops and larger projects for individuals and groups.
The service reaches those who are most isolated, or unable to access this type of provision, for whatever reason. Over the last three years, targeted work has taken place with Looked After Children, Young Carers, children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, young people and adults with significant mental health conditions, the LGBTQ + community, young women only, and care leavers. This includes collaborative work with the local authority, the police and the NHS.
ISLA is funding an outreach project, which will see the delivery of a series of outdoor workshops in areas of rural and coastal deprivation, across the East Riding of Yorkshire. There has been a reported increase in anti-social and risk-taking behaviour amongst vulnerable young people, with little or no provision.
