Project Overview
Award winning Bright Star Boxing work with some of the most vulnerable people across Shropshire, using boxing as a vehicle to positively influence the direction of vulnerable young people. They offer training and education alongside boxing in order to engage young people and then support their development, making sure they are able to have the best possible success in life.
Some of the groups they currently work with are:
- Looked After Children
- Survivors of abuse
- People in recovery
- People in supported accommodation
- People who struggle to manage their Mental health
- Young people at risk of exclusion
We will be supporting Bright Star Boxing’s project, Counterpunch, which aims to support the mental health of its male clients, ensuring both mind and body are healthy.
