The below Terms and Conditions apply to all grant applicants.
I confirm that to the best of my knowledge, all the information I have provided in this application is accurate and complete. I understand the Isla Foundation has a zero tolerance policy towards fraud.
You confirm that:
- You have been authorised by the governing body of your organisation to submit this application and accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of your organisation.
- This grant will be spent on the purpose approved by the Isla Foundation and you will notify us immediately of any changes to proposed use of funds.
- You understand that the Isla Foundation reserves the right to require repayment of the grant if:
- We discover you have deliberately provided false information on your application.
- The use of funds is not what was initially requested or we have not approved any proposed changes to use.
- Any employee, board member or volunteer commits any act or does anything considered: (i) to be immoral, deceptive, scandalous or obscene; or (ii) to injure, tarnish, damage or otherwise negatively affect the reputation and goodwill associated with the Foundation or its founders.
- We discover that the project is discriminatory in any way. This includes, but is not limited to, discriminating on the basis of race, colour, religion, gender, age, marital status, disability, political or religious beliefs, national or ethnic origin.
- You will keep financial records relating to the funding and use of funds and will provide impact reports when requested by the Isla Foundation.
- You will allow the Isla Foundation to visit you to witness project activities during the funding period.
- You understand that we will use personal information in accordance with our Data Protection Statement.
- You understand that we may provide information about the application if requested under the Freedom of Information policy.
How do we collect and use your personal data?
- If you submit a grant application, we will collect personal data provided on the application form. We will store this information securely. Any information provided about those benefiting from the project’s work will be treated in the same way.
- Once we have held personal data for the maximum amount of time permitted by data protection laws, we will destroy it.
Why do we need to store and use your personal data?
- We may use your personal data to support you in grant applications and to assess these applications.
- We may use the personal data you provide to monitor and evaluate the use of funds. We may publish the results from these evaluations but will not share your personal data without your prior consent.
- We may use this personal data to contact you about other activities such as new grant opportunities.
- If a grant is awarded, we may need to use your personal data to confirm your identity and conduct anti-fraud and money laundering checks. In the event that law enforcement authorities, government officials, regulators or fraud prevention agencies require your personal data to conduct these checks, we will provide it. These organisations may hold your data for different periods of time.
Sharing your personal data
- We may share your personal data with third parties only if they play a role in supporting us with grant making. This may include technical support/IT organisations. We will only share information that is needed for them to carry out their work and we will ensure your personal data remains only in use for the intended purpose.
How long will we keep your personal data?
- Once we have held personal data for the maximum amount of time permitted by data protection laws, we will destroy it.
Your personal data rights
- You may request a copy of all the personal data held by the Isla Foundation.
- You may ask us to destroy your data if we no longer need it for the purposes we originally collected it for.
- If our use of your personal data relies on your consent, you hold the right to withdraw consent at any point.
